Why do we write story and poetry?
Why do we write story and poetry?
A Poem by Coyote Poetry
Old wise saying. “Nothing good to say. Say nothing.”
Poetry, my dear friends,
is a sacred incarnation of a smile.
Poetry is a sigh that dries the tears.
Poetry is a spirit who dwells in the soul,
who nourishment is the heart,
who wine is affection.
Poetry that comes not in this form is a false messiah.
Kahlil Gibran.
Perfection
Keep me away from the wisdom which does not cry,
The philosophy which does not make me laugh
and the greatness which does not bow before children.
Kahlil Gibran
Why do we write poetry and story?
Kahlil Gibran expressed the real reasons for writing above.
Poetry and story is not to offend.
It can teach, motivate and make you cry or laugh.
Be graceful for writer’s who shared their words and thoughts.
Never be negative in public.
Send a personal e-mail with an offer of help.
Poetry can dance on a page.
Can make us envision beauty or pain.
May take us to a new world of fantasy or a journey into the past.
There is no perfect Poet or Writer.
We must find a proper edge of understanding with the reader.
Words should be a pleasure to read. Not a challenge.
We need a billion new writer’s and Poet’s.
People who see and understand our world.
A person who tried to understand history, love and modern times.
People need hope and dreams.
Not sadness and naysayers.
Better to be a kind teacher than looking for weaknesses in our things.
Thank you WordPress for reading my poetry and story.
Many had assisted an old man.
Remember never too old to learn.
A wise person tried to learn something new dally.
Kindness and love lead to good places and good friendship.
Thank you.
Coyote

There are many people who think as we do John who in our own ways are helping to maintain the balance of energy.. We need the negative the opposite of positive, because without the Bad/negative we would not experience the Good/positive.. There has to be an Up and Down, Yin and Yang -in and out. in our duel experience on Earth. But the Negative needs to be in balance and this is where Light-workers who embrace the positive are being woken up.
We have to understand that our very thoughts are the first point in creating our reality.. Look around you now, everything you see about you was once someone’s thought!, put into action which is now in our reality.
So too is what we are thinking being manifested..
Look again at the Media TV, Look what they project.. Look at the Film industry what does it project, Look to our News papers .. Look to the Soaps on TV ( which I do not watch) and look to the adverts.. Making you work and get in debt to acquire ‘Things’ hooking you up to debt- control,
We write to communicate our Dreams for a better world, We know because we see the damage done and we want to make things a little better even if only for the space of a moment..
I love a quote by Wayne Dyer… who said
” Miracles come in moments, Be ready and willing”,
We each are playing our part with our stories and poetry…. Keep up your own good work John..
Blessings
🙂

Beautifully put John…”Better to be a kind teacher than looking for weaknesses in our things.” This reminds me of a Kalaallit Eskimo saying, “When I stop learning, it is better to be dead.”

There is different kinds of writing also. Need people with the desire to write about the past, present and the future. I’m reading the Game of Throne series now. I have to read slow and easy. George Martin is a writer for detail. Each one is important. I wish to write like he does. We can learn from each other. Thank you for the comment.

I love the part “Be graceful for writers who shared their words and thoughts …”
One of my friends is sending me a snail mail letter critiquing a part of the book I’m writing. I’m so honored that he took the time to do that for me. It’s so true not to be negative in public to a fellow writer.
My friends always worry about their writing and grammar when they come to my blog since I’m a professional, but I always say to write from the heart. I always overlook typos and misuse of grammar when friends are kind enough to take the time to write.
I’m bookmarking this one, thank you!
