Bittersweet goodbye

Dreams can become nightmares. Nightmares can become sweet dreams one day.

Dreams can become nightmares. Nightmares can become sweet dreams one day.

Bittersweet goodbye

A Poem by Coyote Poetry

"

Old memories become a permanent part of our life.

Bittersweet closure

I walked up to her house.
I celebrated one year with a woman.
In the comfort of the small apartment.
We learn passion and hate.

Angelic face answer the door.
Asked why did  I come?
She falls into my arms.

I was leaving the Army.
Three years in the beauty and elegance
of Germany was coming to the end.

I came for a closure.
My beautiful Daniela took me to
heaven and hell once.

We entwined two lives for a year.
Her beauty enchanted my heart.
We reached ecstasy of passion.
Shared million sweet kisses and thousand
words of love.

Now she is crying.
Her new love is dead.
I whispered I didn’t want no-one to die.

I went to the P.X.
I brought her favorite rum.
Played her favorite music Leonard Cohen.
Allowed her to hold on to me.

Silence is necessary.
Sometime words don’t mean much.
To swim in the sadness.
Allow the pain to do the fatal mercy
of killing off the last of your hope and joy.

A Angel broke my heart.
The elixir of sweet love  was turn bittersweet.

Now forgiveness and kindness is all
we have left.

Sweet and beautiful Daniela.
Asked did I come to save her?

I whispered I came to say goodbye the right way.
To tell you thank you.

Her blue eyes looked into my eyes.
Asked me for what?
I condemn you to grief and damnation.

I kissed her forehead.
I told her.

Only offense would be if you don’t try to love.
Missed the breathtaking kisses and
the warmth of two bodied becoming one for  time.
The nights of love and passion are permanent tattoos.
We need to hold on to.

You will always bring a smile.
When my body and mind is old.
Those stories and memories won’t ever leave the heart and dreams.

I sat and babysit  my Daniela  for three days.

I left her with no words of love.

Just a bittersweet goodbye.
