Terminally Ill Brittany Maynard Releases Emotional New Video
I don’t know. Hard topic. Used in many parts of the world. Cheaper. Do the USA want cheaper? Is human life devalued. This woman story breaks my heart. She is very brave to face a serious topic in the view of the public. I would want every second of a dying daughter life and I would seek cure with great energy and drive.
Brittany Maynard, the 29-year-old terminally ill woman who had plans to commit physician-assisted suicide on Nov. 1, has released a heart-rending video explaining her state of mind leading up to her scheduled death.
In the six-minute clip, released with advocacy group Compassion & Choices, Maynard explains that she may or may not choose to die on that date and the consequences of each decision, according to People magazine.
“So if November 2nd comes along and I’ve passed, I hope my family is still proud of me and the choices I made,” says Maynard, who was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer and given six months to live last spring.
The video was recorded at Maynard’s Portland, Ore., home on Oct. 13 and 14.
