No words Wednesday. I almost made Big Sur.
Had plans to visit the California coastline. Things went wrong. It is okay. Now dear family is my Monterey.
Big Sur and Monterey coastline
It is God’s country. Still had a feel of wildness and free people.

Big Sur is my favorite place in the U.S., especially Partington Cove. Yes. God’s country. Thanks for the reminder….. I also recommend Big Sur by Jack Kerouac who was an incredibly descriptive writer from the Beat Generation.

I live just near there to the south. It is still my favorite place in the world. Glad you were able to enjoy it. If you like Henry Miller, I’d recommend his book of essays titled “Big Sur”. Its a lot of his very bohemian bent on life, but he also talks about what it was like to live in a truly wild America during that time. Along the vein of Edward Abbey’s works.

I will research the book. I spend three years roaming the coastline. Many kind people gave me the motivation to write. Thank you for stopping by.

You can stand five feet from them. They rest and live in Monterey. You can hear them at night. Monterey coastline is a amazing place. Sea otters will dance at your feet.

You are very lucky. I was station at Fort Ord from 1992-1994. I roamed highway one, every weekend. It is God’s country.
