Love is Blind

A amazing poem by a excellent writer. Love is blind.

Into My Story World

He called me the other day
Asked me out on a fancy date
I would have said no
Had I known
everything would be against me
my hair, my face, my body
All my clothes do not fit right
And my hair is tangled tight
My mascara is clumping
While cover up is not covering
A knock on the door
That tenth knock I can’t ignore,
“Turn the knob.” I say,
hoping when he sees, he won’t run away
My eyes meet his starry gaze
I think he sees a different face
“You are stunning.” he says with a glow
As he takes my hand, now I know
Must have been a woman like me
Who first spoke of how blind love must be.
