War. What is it good for? Nothing.
Short poetry about war.
A Poem by Coyote Poetry

I’m tire of war and violence.
The dead will not rise.
War steal the best from us.
Who remember the people in the mass graves?
Children cry, Soldier die
Old friend you were killed in Iraq.
So far from the safety of your home.
I cried with your children and parent.
You are not forgotten.
A father’s love is never forgotten.
White crosses
How many fields of white crosses are needed.
Soldiers will die and great cities will fall.
War leave no victors.
Only homeless and desperate people paying for the cost of war.
Coyote
John, I have a question for you. It seems to me most vets I know try to justify these actions as patriotic. We are bombarded with movies, commercials, music that makes war seem like it is something that is saving OUR country. I don’t see that at all. All I see is costing us, and costing innocent civilians. Why are so many military guys so defensive about it? I understand the camaraderie between the guys in action together, but do they ever question what they are doing there and come up with negative conclusions. Is it unpatriotic to not agree with war? I don’t see us being threatened by most of the places we have invaded.

Most of the soldiers I know. We dislike war. The problem with the new wars. Not fought for defense. Fought for oil and wealthy countries. I’m only defensive when words are used to downgrade soldiers lost to war. Soldiersdon’t create wars. Follow the direction of men far-away. Most soldiers are like me. I don’t want my children to fight in a war. War is not pretty and men who had learn the taste of war. Remember the time with regret and the goal of never repeating.

Thank you for your service and for saying how you feel, it is right, and the moral way to look at it. These wars I don’t believe are fought to protect anyone, just to take resources and make money for the contractors. I have nothing but praise for you guys who lay your lives down. It is a shame that they die for a cause that I see as wrong. It is a waste of life and tears apart families. The maimed that come back have a lifetime to suffer, after they had endured so much. don’t think the wars will stop, there is too much profit and small men who are possessed by power. I support the troops, and the guys.

You are right my friend. All we can do is pray, we have wise men and women in leadership. Need a billion people to stand for peace, before it is too late.

I would like to see a billion man and woman stand. That would be great, everyone as brothers and sisters.

Yes she did, she’s been doing it for years. She was just in Ann Arbor I believe. I missed it. It’s a long drive from here. I really would have liked to seen her.

Next time she comes. We must go. I would loved to have seen her sing. A legend of song and for peace.

She’s been to Ann Arbor a couple of times. I think it was last year, and not to long ago this year. She took some time off for awhile because she had some sort of medical emergency. That would be great to go with another fan. Her son Beau Jared, is a fantastic guitar player.

I’m easy to be found. At least one time daily on the WordPress and many other places. I will see Nick Cave in June. He will be here in Detroit and he is a amazing singer from England.

Wow, you found out quick. That seems so fat off, but will be here before you know it. I bet the tickets are expensive.

78 dollars. If you want to go. Remind me and I will buy your ticket. You are the only Nick Cave fan I know. Years ago I was station in Texas. Hank William Jr. came to Austin, Texas. No-one wanted to go. I went alone and it was the best concert I ever seen. Life is too short. We must enjoy life when we can.

Well, John I thank you for that, but I wouldn’t expect you to buy my ticket. You are right life is too short and that would be nice. I have not had many good times or memories in my life.
I know a lot of different musicians and bands, my taste is kind of eclectic. I also enjoy discovering new artists.
I have some money. Been having a lot of car problems that have been taking me to the cleaners.
I am in a relationship though, so I don’t know how that would work. I will add it’s not a happy one. It’s a good source for material.

Not a date. I have a wife. Just people listening to good song. My dear wife truth me. Without truth and friendship. What is left?

Thanks. You are lucky to have a good woman. Doesn’t she like Nick or does she worl. I understand the part about trust. You are right, the guy I am with has trust issues, which are unfounded.

She liked Latino music. She is a Honduras lady. Rock and roll isn’t her pleasure. It is okay. My daughter boyfriend said he would go. This is a rare opportunity to hear a Europe legend. Melanie. I wished I knew she was near. Another legend of my time. If you can’t trust someone. Life can be difficult. But some people worry they may lose a good thing. It is a good thng too.

Melanie has a page on facebook. I am on it, and she has a website with tour dates. She tours with ger daughters and son, Beau, who is a fantastic and gifted guitar player I have never seen her or Nick cave, the truth is I haven’t gone to a concert since the mid 90’s. I miss doing that. I noticed prices sure went up from back then. I trust him, he doesn’t trust me, but since he behaves the way he does toward me, he obviously must feel that I willwant to leave, and he is right, I do. It has been a long time coming, bu that is a long story.

I must add her. She would be very fun to hear and see. A legend.

Yes, do that. She answers fans questions on one site. You are the only person I have met, other than Melanie followers that know her. You really have to be of a certain age, or a real music fan to know her.

I used to like Hank Jr. I prefer Hank III now.. Your musical tastes encompass a lot of genres too. Best concert I saw was a private house concert by Steve Young, that was in 89.

Never heard Hank 111. I will research.

He’s Juniors son. He’s a bit rawer, does more rootsy, Amercana stuff, some of it’s pretty wild, but I am a big fan of Americana.

So true… Though I can only imagine, I have no personal experience. But I do always feel sad and frustrated, when people think war is a game that can be won.
Maybe you should make a poem with the phrase from your comment:
“Our youth pay for the hate of old greedy men.”

The quote was written by President Truman. “War are fought by the young and caused by old men.”
