Paradox.
Amazing poetry by a talented writer. Please read and enjoy.
You’re the stars in the night sky, the sunshine on a cloudy day
You’re my morning cup of coffee, the reason I wake up every day
You’re love poems, beautiful, yet devastating
You’re graffiti on the walls, making people
Look at you in awe, before being painted over again
You’re the knife people cut themselves with
Drawing blood, but craving more
You’re old buildings, crumbling into pieces
You’re candlelight dinners, and slow waltzes in the ballroom
You’re the thirty first of December, and the first of January
The beginning, and the end
You’re the candle, lighting the dark
But burning yourself down
You’re the most beautiful sunset,
The one people travel miles to see
You’re a mass of paradoxes, devastating in your beauty.
