You and I

I remember us. Your eyes of Hazel green and the softness of your voice. You made me stop and worship you.  You were a treasure in a world falling apart. You sang to me the lullaby of love and hope. You brought me into the rhythm of your body, making me see the world with the shade of hope and great possibilities.

I remember the Summer days in your embrace. We free-climbed Big Sur hills and mountains  and I held you in deep embrace and we watched from hidden places the wild Pacific ocean dance on virgin coastline.

You talked of great dreams and you were a fearless and a beautiful woman. I remember on the Big Sur beach, you took off the two piece white bathing suit and you danced on with the moving  waves. I remember you ran to me and you whispered. “Did you miss me Johnnie, so good to see you again my dear Poet.

We walked the Monterey coastline for a year. You told me often. “Johnnie, you joined wars, left the country so many times and you tried to forget the past. The past cannot be forgotten. We must learn from it and create new places and memories to hold tightly. Please Johnnie, promise me. No-more journeys seeking death, please seek life and joy with me.”

I kissed her forehead and her lips. I told her. Promises are just wishes till the promises can be true. Today I walked with you by the sea. I love when I can feel your hand in my hand and   I love to look into your eyes. Your kind words and love had etched hope into my once dying heart. I have found peace where wars of anger been fighting for me for 10 years. You are my savior and last wish.

You and I together create a chaos of love with no boundaries. Your kindness and gentleness painted my world bright and beautiful. You conspire me to want life, to fall into the bliss of your kiss and embrace. You make my imperfect world perfect. I shall love you forever and a day.

Pretty woman smiled for me and she force me to dance with the rising sea. Two people dance for the moon and the stars. The kind Gods of the sea and the sky. Smiled, for love was alive and well this night.
