The Christmas lady

She is the Christmas lady dressed in coat of red
a mink cap placed on her head
in her today she lives in her tomorrow
With the white fur placed on her lovely head
red shoes matching her red socks
to her heart beating red
She is yesterday today’s tomorrow
she is Every day’s Christmas
dressed in her Christmas best
Every year as she visits us
never giving herself a rest
For she is Christmas herself
yesterday’s Christmas in its tomorrow’s
in her seeking rest
As she heralds it in every year
Never failing never waning in its fest
In her read dress beating everyone red
She is life’s siren polished in her red shoes
To meet the Christmas mistletoe placed above her head
For she is love’s day pleasing us at its behest
