Take me with you, O wind.

Take, wherever you will,
Raise me to the clouds that move,
Or to the sky that stands still.
.
Or when the Earth is clear,
Then gently bring me low,
I’d see the gushing streams,
And immerse with every flow.
.
Or brush me through the sands,
As they wriggle under my feet
Or then take me to the hills,
Whose heights none can beat.
.
Or blow from land to land,
I’d witness all their norms,
How far they match and differ,
I’d see in every form.
.
Take me along with you, Wind,
I’d need some mind’s peace.
I’m cold with things around,
Wrap me in your breeze.
