Dear Clinton, Michigan
California poetry
A Poem by Coyote Poetry
Just words
Dear Clinton, Michigan
You told me often dear Jenny.
Love wasn’t enough.
The heart become colder and more hidden with time and age.
——
California isn’t enough
I called you beautiful Jenny and I told you.
The California coastline is so beautiful.
The Monterey sea will steal your heart and mind.
I sat near the dancing waves of the Pacific, with a clear sky, filled with the stars above.
I whispered to the sea. Sweet Jenny.
Come to Monterey and be my love.
Make California our last stand to know love.
—————————-
Last stand
Last kiss, last wish.
First face remembered, last face wishing to be caressed and kissed.
You were my love and you were my hell.
Today I would stand the pain and misery of losing you.
If I could see your face and hold you near.
