How the world helped me heal-I
Please read and enjoy the amazing poetry of a talented writer.
The sun
sinks its hands
into my flesh,
and
creates a sky
out of
the sadness
inside.
–
The half moon
nestled
behind my ear,
whispers
poetry
in my ears,
and
I swallow it down.
My mouth
stinks
of love.
–
I hear
crumbling houses
collapse
beneath my ribs.
My heart
smells like
hurricanes
and seawater.
–
I draw a map
of all the flowers
blooming
out of the wreckage
inside my bones.
Periwinkle
against carnelian.
–
Now,
my heart
rains
liquid gold,
while I eat
slices
of moonlight
for dessert.
–
The sun
is growing
in my bones.
