Survivor
Read the powerful words of a talented writer.
We are all survivors,
Of pain,
Gifted by others
As well as ourselves.
Pain that makes us flinch,
Pain we remember for years.
We are all survivors,
Of injustice,
Of when we were shunned
What we truly deserved.
Injustice that pushed us back,
Injustice that roars within us.
We are all survivors,
Of hate,
Sometimes earned,
Sometimes shockingly unearned.
Hate that questioned our worth,
Hate that made us question ourselves.
We are all survivors,
Of circumstances,
That we long knew were coming,
That took us by storm.
Circumstances that passed with heavy damage,
Circumstances that were there to stay.
We are all survivors,
Of love,
The lost, losing and lasting,
The mess within it brings.
Love that made us do the crazy,
Love that made us lose ourselves.
We are all survivors,
For ourselves,
In spite of ourselves.
Survived we have so much.
Survive we will a lot more.
Survive…

Forgive me to pointing something out but; Shouldn’t your post include the true author’s name from Luna’s hosting site?

I do. The writer’s site is part of the poem. My only words are the introduction. I reblogged. I take no credit except for my work and my name is below my story and poetry. Sometime if the work get many reblogged. Sites like Luna’s. Try to expand the work of other writers.

I reblogged from Luna’s site. My only words are to introduce the work. Sites like Luna, tried to expand the writers to more people. I believe we need to assist other writers.

I too provide works to Luna. As for me, I always make sure to include the authors name out of respect to them and their work.

I didn’t notice. When I reblogged. I don’t check and the kind writer had told me. It was her work. I read non-stop and edit my new published work. I don’t touch other folks work. I appreciate the reminder.

That was all I intended, be a friendly reminder. I myself have overlooked it before being so earnest in my own works. I’m sure she appreciate it. Be blessed, sir.
