Autumn

Wonderful poetry by a talented writer.

How i have longed for Autumn, leaves turn their changing colors for eyes to see,

leaves turn their changing colors for eyes to see,

a reddish and orange phase during a seasonal change,

leaves that wither and distort for the naked tree,

in the coming winter season to be.

Pumpkins canvass the fields for this Autumn season,

Just when creatures of the forest gather essentials of hibernation,

This Autumn will be a quick one,

as time shortens for the Autumn season.

I have longed for the Autumn season,

walking along a path of the pumpkin patch,

sipping warm apple cider that warms my soul,

crunching fallen leaves under foot that withered away for the coming winter season,

How i have longed for this Autumn season.
