felt some way lost

some way from found

despair betossed

on dangerous ground

appeared to be alone

upon the path

weary i grew

proceeded not

as winter blew

winds were colder

struck me blind

as splinters stabbed

inside my mind

amid the pines

afraid to climb

to sate desire

of inner child

through tears i found

my fated shield

in dreams recurred

my blindness waned

knew somewhere on

the mazy lane

if down the path i strode

i had to brave

the shadows cast

by all good things

not meant to last

with leery mind

my discontent

propelled me forth

on triumph bent

to fated solace own
