Waves
Great words shared. The beloved sea.
We are like waves
That crash upon the shore
Only to be taken in
By the sand’s embrace
Absorbed into its gentle grace
Some of us
Are docile waves
That ebb and flow
And some of us are
Troubled tidal waves
Primal and dark
Dangerous and deep
With secrets to keep
And others are the Maelstrom
Destructive and uncaring
Destroying all in its path
To wander alone
To languish in the dark
Still, we all end up the same
Waves that crash
Upon the shore
Returning to the sand’s embrace
Absorbed into its gentle grace
