Beatrice Marcella, my Winter storm..
Beatrice Marcella, my Winter storm…
Dante’s Beatrice left him to swim in the misery of so close and so far away. She allowed him to travel to hell and back to find her. His misery taught him and us. Best to try to live a good life than swim in the pits of hell.
Today I remember my dear Beatrice Marcella, my Winter storm of 1993. Wandering Italian lady who love to dance in city of San Francisco, drink the tequila near the Pacific oceans and she loved to laugh. She taught me life need to be a great adventure.
I learn by many dances with kind and pretty Beatrice. Women, are not for men to understand. You can hold a woman, you can believe you know her. You learn, women are a story for men never to grasp.
Woman can conceal, inspire and create divine emotions for a lucky man. If she desired.
I tell the young in heart, life is seconds, minutes and hours that goes so damn fast. We need to celebrate the warmest days, the sweetest kisses and the days, when love is near.
When love is near, we are alive.
Being in the sanctuary of a woman’s arms, with the blessing of love. kindest and sweetest days, we shall know. Wise men know, you can’t control love. A woman decide if we can know the utopia of love embrace, can taste the ambrosia of her skin and kiss.
Dante taught me, love can be sweet, love can damn us forever in the pit of sorrow. But if we don’t join the dance, feel the heat, feel the burn. Did we live?
And we need the kindness of kind women. Thank you Beatrice Marcello. I would tell her, if I could. Now I dance with my wild five grandchildren near the Great lakes and I remember you, my beautiful Beatrice Marcella.
Dancing Coyote
I gather from reading your poetry that you are a lover of women, John…and that you understand them far better than most men.

I have six sisters and I have three daughters. I learn young. Women decide. Men attempt. My father marry six times and he had 11 children. I decided to wait till I was ready. One wife and I got marry at 36. I respect women. In my Army days. I saw women equal men and became better. I believe. We must teach our children. We must be kind to each other. Beatrice Marcella was my best friend in the Army, wife sister. His wife told my friend. I was the only one, who love to travel. Marcella wanted to see the world and she did. I do love women. Now I have a two years grand-daughter name Mia. I watch her daily and we dance to the songs of radio.

You are surrounded by women, while I am by men. Though I have 4 sisters, along with 2 brothers, I have only one child—a son. He and his wife have two sons, no daughters. One of my grandsons is married with one son. I would love to have a granddaughter or great-granddaughter, but I guess it wasn’t meant to be.
